Our Group Information Systems function deliver, manage and maintain systems that support Computacenter’s business. This includes our IT Infrastructure (Network, e-mail, file/print, internet) and our core applications.

Role Responsibility

As a Release Manager in our Information Systems team you will drive the creation, implementation and delivery of a new central Release Management service internally. The successful individual will be responsible for taking ownership of the initial creation of this service as well as our ability to deliver the service on an ongoing basis,


You will work on anything from Defining the scope and contents of each release, manage the schedule of each expected release to maximise the effectiveness of delivery, plan, identify and monitor risk, allocate resources, monitor and report progress in the implementation of IS releases.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re also looking for background in a Release Management environment, ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly, good knowledge of IT platforms, equipment and applications supported within relevant areas, ability to manage and work in a team and ability to take ownership of, and progress escalations to resolution.

Also you will need to have ability to identify, develop and maintain consistent best practice and understanding the principles and processes for delivering Release Management internally and externally. Above all, you’ll have the resilience to take on a problem and see it through to successful conclusion.
