IT Service Director

The UK Services team are responsible for managing the in life contracted services to all our customers. The successful individual will be ultimately responsible for all services delivered into multiple clients, including several large, challenging and complex infrastructure service contracts. Reporting into the Head of Services this person will be a point of escalation for customers as well as ensuring that Computacenter are delivering against all SLA's, contractual terms and our margin commitments. We engage directly with our customers to ensure Computacenter delivers on our contractual commitments, whilst ensuring our services are aligned to meet our customers’ business needs. Driving continual improvement and operational efficiency is a constant focus of the team and we do this by leveraging the best practice and capability within our shared services factory.
We’re also looking for someone who is qualified with the relevant professional qualification and has experience of managing teams of non-technical and technical staff, as well as a good knowledge of relevant functional systems and experience in developing best practice policies and procedures for functional areas.
You will be expected to adopt Computacenter’s best practice and service offerings to ensure consistency of service and also act in accordance with CC’s Information’s Security Policies and report any potential or actual Security events or other security risks to the organisation. This person will be a key interface for the customer, and will have a strong focus on managing solution and timescale changes, focussing on contract and relationship management, as well as ensuring that Computacenter are delivering to their agreed SLA’s.
You would build relationships with clients and broadening relationships with customers to ensure delivering added value to the customer business, manage a team of direct reports end to end, including all development, reviews and appraisals.
The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have a strong background in building relationships up to CIO, Head of Function, IT Director level, along with a clear vision of what good looks like in successful programme delivery. You should also be able to demonstrate: a proven track record of working in a challenging commercial environment, experience of managing P&L/budgets, experience of functional area’s lifecycles, methodologies, tools and techniques.
We’ll give you recognition for a job well done and the chance to take responsibility from managing lines of budget/ P&L to maintaining spend in line with budgetary limitations as well as establishing productive relationships and networks at an operational level to build and maintain customer relationships.
