3rd Line Wintel Analyst (MS Server)

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen in Europe’s leading independent provider of IT infrastructure services. We are looking for an experienced Security Cleared (minimum SC) Third Line Analyst who will join a dedicated team supporting a major customer permanently based on their site.

Role Responsibility

The ideal Candidate will have experience providing specialised support across Windows Server platforms. They should possess excellent troubleshooting skills and demonstrate the ability to make key technical decisions on their own accord. Excellent communication skills, both face to face and on the telephone, whilst having the ability to assess and prioritise tasks without close supervision is essential.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Designing, developing and deploying of technologies on Windows Platforms
  • Offering solutions and workarounds to incidents/problems
  • Working to SLAs and deadlines
  • Review of services and application delivery
  • Prioritising and managing several tasks at a single time
  • Establishing a good working relationship with wider teams and customers alike
  • Keep up to date with advancements in technology
  • Work with a variety of customers to gain a detailed understanding of their requirements
  • Providing On-Call Out of Hours Support
  • Willingness to Travel (Infrequent)
  • Document writing / process creation

The Ideal Candidate

The Candidate should have experience in the following:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008/2012, including clustering
  • Designing, developing and deploying of technologies on Windows Platforms
  • Active Directory experience: ADFS, Group Policy Objects (GPO), Domains, Forrest, Domain Controller Roles, DNS, Permission Models, Delegation, Trust relationships, LDAP/ADSI, Kerberos and Schemas
  • Understands the interdependency between Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
  • PKI and Certificate Management
  • Quest Tools (Active Roles, Change Auditor, Recovery Manager)
  • Anti-virus technologies (McAfee)
  • Microsoft Exchange 2010 / 2013
  • Microsoft Skype for Business 2015 (including Enterprise Voice)
  • Scripting (PowerShell)
