IT Transition Service Director

The UK Services team are responsible for managing the in life contracted services to all our customers. We engage directly with our customers to ensure Computacenter delivers on our contractual commitments, whilst ensuring our services are aligned to meet our customers’ business needs. Driving continual improvement and operational efficiency is a constant focus of the team and we do this by leveraging the best practice and capability within our shared services factory.
You will be part of a friendly UK Services Business Take-On team working with our prestigious customers, responsible for finding practical solutions to IT problems. You will be responsible for managing a series of complex service change programmes with high profile, blue-chip customers. This is a leadership role within the business where the successful individual will take accountability for all services delivered into the allocated customer base which will comprise of large and complex infrastructure and managed service contracts.
We’re also looking for someone who is qualified with the relevant professional qualification and has experience of managing teams of non-technical and technical staff, as well as a good knowledge of relevant functional systems and experience in developing best practice policies and procedures for functional areas. You will be expected to adopt Computacenter’s best practice and service offerings to ensure consistency of service and also act in accordance with CC’s Information’s Security Policies and report any potential or actual Security events or other security risks to the organisation. This person will be a key interface for the customer, and will have a strong focus on managing solution and timescale changes, focussing on contract and relationship management, as well as ensuring that Computacenter are delivering during the business take on and transformation phase. You will Contribute to business strategy and prioritise projects and objectives according, motivate an indirect team to help ensure the delivery of function and business targets and take accountability for the delivery of significant business focused projects/deliverables to defined targets.
The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have a strong background in delivering IT Transition Services to customers, along with a clear vision of what good looks like in successful programme delivery. You should also be able to demonstrate: a proven track record of working in a challenging commercial environment, experience of managing P&L/budgets, experience of functional area’s lifecycles, methodologies, tools and techniques.
We’ll give you recognition for a job well done and the chance to take responsibility from managing lines of budget/ P&L to maintaining spend in line with budgetary limitations as well as establishing productive relationships and networks at an operational level to build and maintain customer relationships.
